Kaduna: Gov. Uba Sani Promises To Complete Unfinished Projects Inherited By His Administration

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani

Awarenessinfohub has gathered that Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, says his administration will not borrow to finance projects in the state.

Sani spoke on Wednesday at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 16.5-kilometre asphalt road linking Kayarda Tasha, Kayarda Gari, Unguwan Sarki, Maskawa and Dan Alhaji towns in Lere LGA.

The governor noted that his administration inherited several abandoned projects from past governments, but assured that they will be completed before the end of his tenure.

He noted that the road would be constructed by a reputable contractor, adding that his administration has also completed several projects in the LGA.

“This kind of project is unprecedented in Lere local government,” the governor said.

Rewa bridge that links Gure town has been completed. Marjeri bridge has also been completed. Tudai bridge will be completed in a month or two. I have taken steps to address the lack of electricity supply in Yarkasuwa, Kayarda, Ramin Kura and Mariri towns.”

Abubakar Buba, commissioner for environment, described the governor as “a man of his words” and commended him for appointing several Lere indigenes into key positions.

Munira Suleiman Tanimu, majority leader of the state house of assembly, said the road project was a campaign promise to the people of Lere and expressed confidence that the APC will repeat its by-election victories in the 2027 polls.

Ahmed Munir, a member of the house of representatives, recalled Sani’s early years as a footballer in Saminaka town.

“Governor Uba Sani will continue to be a striker in the political realm,” he said.
